The Secret of Kells

After a brief internship With the ‘Saloon I tried out for and won a position on the clean background team.
Using brush, ink and a variety of pens we copied, traced and developed the pencil layouts with the final line style, scanned and prepared and them for use in Photoshop.
An eye for composition allowed me to contribute further with extensive set dressing utilizing existing assets. Further to this I was encouraged to combine and develop layouts, existing art work and to riff in the celtic line style for the final scenes in Abbot Ceallaig’s round tower.
It was a treat to work with such respected artists, I was lucky to make life long friends there.
